New Lightwave with CORE technology

Newtek announced they plan to release new version of Lightwave 3D which will use parts of their new CORE technology. This new version is called Lightwave HC, and will serve as transition from "old" Lightwave to the new Lightwave with CORE.

CORE technology is an innovative way of developing 3D content (both pre-rendered, like picture and movies, as well as dynamic content - presentations, games). It uses industry-proven standards as part of its development pipeline - Qt for user inteface, Python for scripting, Bullet physics library, integration with OpenFX, Collada, FBX. Any part of your content created with CORE technology can be animated, both using integrated tools, but also through fully programmable pipeline with CORE SDK (you can write additional code either in Python or C++).

You can read more about Lightwave 3D with CORE technology in official newsletter.

BTW, do you know what is Eipix Store?

Eipix on GDN

Eipix has just got its first blog-post on GDN (http://www.gamersdailynews.com/) about our in-development new title "Fear of Floating" - http://www.gamersdailynews.com/blog-145.html. This is the first in series of posts which will talk about the game itself (its design, story and appearance), the development of the game (the goods and bads we did), but also about game development in general.
GDN also posted press release of Eipix-developed mind-cracking puzzle game Ziro - Eipix Takes you from Ziro to Hiro, which can also be found on our Eipix Store.
BTW, did you know that your books can run your computer?

Promissed Land

My father have never seen sea! No, never ever. Once upon a time he decided to go and visit It. Packed his stuff, took a train, and headed to see a sea. Half a way there, he stopped to visit some friends in a town which had really, no, no, no - you don't get it - really-really good library. So, after few days spent in that town, he additionally spent all of his money on books! Good bye, other half of the trip! Good bye, dear sea!

[subtitle: lot years later]

When it was mentioned on a choir for the first time, it sounded like Promissed Land to me. Like I've waited for it all these years. Like it is the best thing to share with other, like it is a crown on a head, like a strawberry on a cake. Varna. One And Only :) Just think about it - singing on one of the hardest choir-festivals around, enjoying the sea, staying there few more days (idea presented to me by s.I. - idea heartfully accepted), travelling by bus all the way there and back (who said we sould never use Tedonal for our knees), crossing two country-boundries (hm, should we called these 'ours'!?), maybe even pushing bus a little bit to the nearest gas-station (some ice, mud and storm if possible, please!), visiting all those places you can see only up there, photos, guitars, tears, ... Wouldn't you want to visit it? Wouldn't you want that we go together there?

We still don' know... Is Promissed Land just Land Of Dreams or is it our Land Of Destiny?

One Pack Of Inspiration, Please!

I'm back :-)

After a month not knowing what clever to say, after a month scratching my head, trying to dig out some nice idea to write about, or trying find (somehow lost) writing inspiration... Here it is! Just another few thoughts.

But... How it came to this? What pulled that trigger in my head? What made me decide to sit and put all of it down? In the end, what gave me an inspiratio for writing?

I'll tell you. I've been trying for all the month to find that secret point in myself somehow. Digging, breaking stones, diving into deep oceans, walking up the highest mountains, being lost for thousand times in dark woods... No, nothing! My good friends also tried everything in their power - encouraging me, telling me they regulary chek out my blog, pushing on me, and all the other ways - still nothing. I even started to read book "Creative Writing". Still nothing. And then...

Yesterday evening, after fully working five days, I put some music I always love to listen to, laid on my bad, relaxed myself, and try to feel every single grain of that, never really understood by myself, mystery called music. And suddenly, without any warning, without even a sign of it, it came to me! Someshow, all those dark clouds simply went away, I saw my path, and there was nothing to stop me do this!

So, I'll let myself being old-stylish lame, and say: Open your hearth, Free your mind, and Enjoy whatever you really like!
